There are 4 (four) nos. of Handloom Training Institute has been running under the department to create skilled technical persons in Handloom who can in turn to demonstrate the weaving, designing, dyeing, processing and other related activities to weavers as well as to serve in the industry for production of quality and value added product and diversification of handloom items. The successfully completed trainees will have also got opportunity for self employment and they may create employment potentiality to other in handloom sector. The total capacity of trainees in these 4 (four) institutes is 97 with stipend provision of Rs.250/- only per trainee per month. The year wise achievement status of institutions is shown below.
